When positive vibes come with awkward dance moves
One of my repeat visitors at the carillon is a cheery, energetic man who used to tour with Up With People, a group that had its heyday sometime in the early 1980s. I remember it because one of my teachers in school was a big fan who distributed button pins and recordings of the group. Listening to this peppy pop music brings back the ’80s zeitgeist and the naive optimism that buoyed our spirits. Read more on Substack.
